Can't say enough about how amazing this tour was. They are incredibly organized and kind and thoughtful. So worth the money. We did the Lares trek with our 9 year old and 11 year old and they had the best time too. There were parts that were difficult but nothing too tough. We got lucky with the weather and had no rain. Raul was our guide and he was excellent. Smart, kind, thoughtful. An amazing travel companion/guide. The food our chef prepared was also great. 5 stars.

My wife and I just finished the 4-Day / 3-Night Inca Trail Tour as a part of our honeymoon - I can honestly say this was one of the top outdoor experiences of my lifetime. My wife and I have both done our share of outdoors trips over the years - and I would put this experience at the top of the list. The team was absolutely fantastic. Our guide (Adrian Jimenez) is an outright professional and really knows the trail, as well as the culture and history of the Incans - areas we both came to appreciate more and more over the course of this trip. The food was unbelievable and as two "foodies", we were blown away by the creations of our chef (Remigio). On our last night, he prepared a cake to help celebrate our honeymoon - we still have no idea how he made such a good cake with camping cooking equipment! We also left the experience with a true appreciation for the culture of Porters. Our head porter (Valentin) leads a great team - positive, funny, and engaged throughout the days and early mornings - this team's work ethic and attitude were honestly inspiring. This is a great team of people and we enjoyed every minute of the trip - we were sad to leave the team, as they are now friends after this time together.

Four friends hiked the IncaTrail with Arturo as our guide. We were on the trail for 3 nights and 4 days with an extra 5th day at Machu Picchu to hike Huanyu Picchu and tour MP again. We signed up for the luxury tour. It was fantastic! The food, the porters, the guide, the scenery—everything was wonderful. I can’t recommend it enough. The trip exceeded any expectations I had.

After a bit of research we chose Apus Peru for a 2 day Short Inca Trail. We were not disappointed, from the moment we booked the communication from Sheree was amazing, telling us everything we needed to know and do prior to the trip. A few days before the trip while we were in Cusco we had a zoom meeting with Lorena and Auturo, our guide. He went through everything with us and made sure we packed the right things! He met us early on the first day and it was a pleasure to spend time with him. He was knowledgeable, friendly, kind and encouraging. He let us lead the hike and go at our own pace which was much appreciated. The hotel we stayed in Aguas Calientes was great, certainly better than I expected as we’d only booked a standard hotel. The second day in Macchu Picchu was amazing. We did 2 circuits and Auturo made it come alive with his interesting facts. We can’t recommend Apus Peru and our guide Auturo enough.

After reviewing numerous tour operators in Cusco, we decided on Apus for our 5-day Inca Trail trek. 5 days (instead of the typical 4) allowed us to have the trail to ourselves, rather than travel with other large groups. Luxury meant we had super thick air mattresses and a shower - both of which made the trip that much better. From our introductory call with Lois, who is an amazing and super-responsive coordinator, to our in-person meeting with Lois and our guide Raul in Cusco, it was clear that this is a well-organized and professional organization. Raul has been a guide for over 20 years, and was amazing in every way. His obvious pride in and ties to his land were evident in everything he did. A highlight was a special ceremony to Mother Earth at the top of Dead Woman's pass. He was the perfect combination of chatting, teaching, and silence, and kept us going at a nice steady pace. Andres the chef was spectacular, even baking a cake for my birthday! The meals he enthusiastically put together were amazing, nourishing, and delicious. The team of porters were a joy to watch. We were amazed with the work they did every day - helping with food prep, setting up and taking down our tents, toilet and shower. The trail itself was breathtaking. We had to pinch ourselves each morning, that we were so incredibly lucky to wake up to those views.
